Wow. Now & then a "dark ambient" album comes by that instantly captures your imagination totally. For example: Lustmord's Black Stars, Time Machines' eponymous album, and this. There's something literally magical about this, when I listen to it, I feel like I've been placed under some kind of spell, it grabs & holds you from start to end. Maybe it's something about the melancholic, mysterious chordal modes, maybe how the music flows over you & envelopes you in its dark, warm embrace. Spooky! Daniel Ruben
The aptly named Gloomseeker turn in a powerhouse new LP, full of bleak, haunting songs, echo-drenched vocals, and shadowy atmospheres. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 10, 2021
Recorded before a live audience, these compositions leverage the strengths of two ambient masters into a hypnotic 18-track set. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 25, 2024
It's been years since someone fresh & original like Underwater Sleep Orchestra shook things up, fitting in other Ambient pigeonholes, yet no other Ambient could come close to fitting in the new pigeonhole USO created when they dove underwater and wove together physical reverberating waveforms, creating the watery majesty of "The Night and Other Sunken Dreams". JUST like Shpongle's album "Are You Shpongled?", this Album isn't a collection of songs, but one long story. A modern Masterpiece❤️🎧🌊 DJ Mr Ben's Chill Among Cosmic Waves
