Wow. Now & then a "dark ambient" album comes by that instantly captures your imagination totally. For example: Lustmord's Black Stars, Time Machines' eponymous album, and this. There's something literally magical about this, when I listen to it, I feel like I've been placed under some kind of spell, it grabs & holds you from start to end. Maybe it's something about the melancholic, mysterious chordal modes, maybe how the music flows over you & envelopes you in its dark, warm embrace. Spooky! Daniel Ruben

I'm spacing on Miles To Midnight and wonder what other albums in the Cryo Chamber releases are as musically dramatic? I'm shopping for more of this, though I understand it may be a unique collaboration. Thanks. Mark Votaw
A gorgeous woodwind/electronics collaboration from Micah Frank, Chet Doxas, and friends that celebrates the work of Hildegard von Bingen. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 22, 2022
The final collaboration between Chris Child (Kodomo) and sound artist Micah Frank is full of contemplative noise and emotional charge. Bandcamp New & Notable May 19, 2022
In the music of Paul Jordan, digitally manipulated field recordings become striking electronic songs that feel eerie and surreal. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 7, 2020

Did Sergio Leone score a Western Set on a Post-Apocaltptic Mars? No. We at least have this. Rain beaten Gothic cathedrals half covered in sentient moss and carniverous seaweed casting long reflections over the still waters of Martian canals. Green Buddhist poet-monks chanting the Lotus Sutra and dissolving into Nirvana. This is sad and gorgeous music. Leo Leo Rivers
