Initiated at the beginning of the year 2022, OLOMUHD is a shared vision bringing together multi-instrumentalists Samuel Vaney (Cortez, Muhd, Fargue) and long time collaborator Loïc Grobety (OLO, Convulsif). Sharing a common passion for abrasive textures, deconstructed rhythms, enveloping and dense layers, this album, presented as a single track, is a distinct entity, an ageless and lush exploration, at times contemplative and airy, at times impetuous and massive. It is the result of a thoughtful yet instinctive composition process.
To add a particular dimension to "The Absurd Silence of a Mute World," the duo enlisted drummer and percussionist Michael Anklin, who left his mark with a sensitivity that matches his virtuosity, imprinting his haunting rhythmic textures to beautiful effect. They also added two guest vocalists, Hemlock Smith & Mütterlein, two strong personalities each with their own universe who managed to seize the protean beast, giving it a primal and emotionally striking imprint. The album was mixed and mastered by Samuel Vaney at the Lead & Sulfur Studio (Fawn Limbs, Throane, Still, Kilhat...) in Switzerland. Artwork by Stefan Thanneur.

❤️Somehow, this compilation manages to be even more impressive than the first. A great introduction to dark ambient for the uninitiated, and a must-have for longtime fans. Plushie Fanatic

This is my favorite of the trilogy so far, unsurprising given "Black Earth" - the song that introduces Cerria and the Synbios - was my favorite song from Fifth Nature. Soludenia's world is a menacing one filled with horror, despair, awe and a hint of hope. I've been listening to this since its release and am sure it will forever hold a special place in my heart. All of the songs are outstanding, my favorites are Kiss of Svorle, Ice Fields of Eidola, Pantropic Adaptation and Cerria's Lament. _pythia
Ten gorgeous compositions from Iceland’s Gísli Gunnarsson that ride the line between ambient & modern classical. Breathtaking. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 25, 2023
This Chicago (where else?) post-rock group builds wafting atmospheric ambient out of slow drums and a shimmering churn of droning guitars. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 30, 2024

Al-Azif is not just an album, but a portal to unexplored dimensions of the human experience. Its notes echo in the emptiness of the soul, awakening ancient instincts and buried memories. It is a journey beyond reality, where the boundary between dreaming and waking dissolves, making way for a new perception of consciousness. https://www.versacrum.com/vs/2024/04/capricorni-pneumatici-al-azif.html Caesar
