After a streak of cdrs and an apperance on the Nord Ambient Alliance compilation CD, Kammarheit offers us a unique album of tortured sonic landscapes taking us on an unsetteling journey through darkened dreams. Homogeneous dark ambiences combined with serene drones and put together as a shadowy collection of dreamy, melancholic soundscapes, Kammarheit forms images of long lost ruins, barren lands and gigantic, rumbling machines. "Asleep and well hidden" was created as a tool for dreamers, a place to flee to when the outside world comes too close...

This has become one of my very favourite albums, just happening to find at a time when I was writing a dark fantasy concerning cults and colossal worms, deep in their chambers below the earth. You'll feel at once chilled and surrounded by the warmth of like-minded individuals, all serving a greater purpose.
I'm going to have add Metatron Omega to my acknowledgements come publication. nanashinoprofile

Everything I love about dark ambient can be found in this album. So soft and resonant at times, with touches of prominent instrumentation to call you back in, Onyx is just...relaxing and beautiful and dark. The titular track, Onyx, even has echoes of Alan Parson's Project's Edgar Alan Poe album. Not sure if this was intentional, but it was still surprising yet wonderfully executed. I'd actually enjoy more ambient with this throwback feel. CyhAnide
